First, you will have a tour of the vineyard and learn why the land is perfect for growing vines, the sustainable methods used to cultivate the vines and the unique micro-climate that blesses the vineyard. You will find out about how we are able to produce high quality wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir here in North Wales.
Next, it’s a tasting of our range of still wines with some relaxed tuition on how to taste wines, along with some light-hearted anecdotes on our experiences and adventures that we have encountered over the last few years.
Finally, you will be treated to a wonderful display of the finest local produce on our grazing boards. We will explain the origins of these artisan foods and tell you about the people who have produced them. Now it’s time to sit back, taking in the panoramic views of the vineyard with the backdrop of the Snowdonia National Park and order a glass of your new found favourite Welsh wine and enjoy the rest of the day.
Before leaving, why not take a browse around our vineyard shop where you will find a range of local food and drink on sale including preserves, cheese, charcuterie, beers, sprits and of course wine!
Gwinllan Conwy vineyard is the only Welsh vineyard to have exported wines to Japan. The wines have been sold in some of Japan’s top luxury stores, such as Isetan and have been served at receptions at the British Embassy in Tokyo. WRU used Gwinllan Conwy wines for promotions during the RWC 2019.
We have represented Wales at a reception at Clarence House for the Duchess of Cornwall and have presented our wines to the previous Prime Minister, Mrs May at 10 Downing St, again putting Conwy firmly on the map as one of the UK’s top tourist destinations.
