Maisie’s is a family owned and run business in the heart of Llandudno. Our Son, Tim is a chocolatier and creates an impressive selection of chocolate goods from his ‘Chocolate Experience’ factory across the road.
From visiting the site of the first cell of the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies in Wales formed in 1907, or exploring the Jewish history of Llandudno, to wandering the inspiring landscapes of the Great and Little Orme, Llandudno Museum and Gallery offers a range of local historical and biodiversity walks for all ages and abilities.
Along Llandudno’s north shore promenade stands North Wales’ premiere performance venue. For over 100 years this site has been an area of great importance for the performing arts of the North Wales region. The first theatre at this site dates back to 1894. Today, the theatre hosts marvelous acts from around Wales, the UK and the globe.
Visit the award-winning Penderyn Distillery in Lloyd St, Llandudno, the home of Welsh Whisky, open seven days a week. You can take part in one of their distillery tours, book yourself onto one of their whisky masterclasses or visit their shop to buy award-winning whisky, gin, vodka, rum and Welsh cream liqueur.
Take some time out of your day to stroll along a boardwalk, through a reed bed to the sounds of reed warblers in the summertime, and sights of starlings massing in the winter – before roosting in the reeds. Look across two lagoons, – one with shallow water and the other which is much deeper, attracts waders and waterbirds.
Gwinllan Conwy vineyard welcomes its visitors to a unique, immersive, food and drink experience. Our vineyard has won nineteen medals in the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. In 2021 we became the ‘Local food and drink champions of Wales’ in the UK wide, Rural Oscars for our dedication to promoting the best of the local community.
Cadw are the custodians of several very important cultural sites and properties throughout North Wales, throughout Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey, this includes those which are close to the Elm Tree including Conwy Castle, Conwy Town Walls and Plas Mawr.
